Make it stand out.
It all begins with a story. Whatever your story may be, the way you tell it authentically is how you develop a visual concept. A concept is the foundation for good design which speaks throughout my work.
Social
Social media has been a platform that has been very fun for me as a designer. Engagement is the key element when designing for social media. With that in mind, I created collages, style boards, and gifs to stand out by using consistent branding, color, clean and bold graphics.
Retouch
Below are some samples of work I have done over the years. Post-production involves e-commerce, still life, lifestyle campaign, print and digital publication-ready advertisements. I worked on beauty editing, general background clean up, color balance, product color adjustments, image extensions and product compositing.
Packaging
Frasser’s is a THC/CBD drink in which we created a case study of different designs to help emphasize the intensity of THC as well as the different flavors. We wanted to present this drink as a unique but familiar brand.
Web Design
Button Avenue needed a website update to elevate their unique buttons in the fashion world. We developed beautiful fashion content and photographed the product in high contrast. I then designed web pages for each collection and created an online look book to illustrate how the buttons can be used to elevate your clothing.
NVFIT has a unique health and wellness product that needed to live in the medical world. We positioned this brand to be healthy, clean and chic. I photographed the content for the webpage and created a very clean layout to help the customer learn more about this unique mineral drinking and bath product. With so much information creating a clean website was key.
Campaigns
Montclair Place is a mall located in the Inland Empire that had a lot of new and upcoming changes to the space. They needed to refresh their brand refresh using their new logo. We updated the color way for the logo, created a campaign to introduce new stores emphasizing their logo throughout the mall. We developed this new branding in mall signs, digital marquee, barricades as well as digital and print marketing materials.
Look books
Yellow Box and NUX are small boutique online stores that I worked on creating seasonal look books. Concepts began with a deck to illustrate the look and feel for the season’s campaign. After pre-production was approved we went to post-production with HDF-LA. I then retouched all images, created the lay out of the look books and brought all print to final production.
Product Photography
Photography is definitely a love of mine. I really have fun setting up and styling the product. I find photography a very strategic process. I definitely pay attention to detail while shooting every angle. To make everything look just right color balancing every photo is essential in brand consistency.
LOGOS
A variation of logo type treatment, illustrative style, and using bold shapes embodies the way I approach logos in addition to a concept driven design.
Poster Design
Visual hierarchy is the main element that stands out with these posters. I use key elements of visual design to emphasize important information or awareness.
Book Design
This book focuses on a silent form of social abuse called “the beauty myth.” The concept for this piece derives from the title of the book, “A Decorative Diversion.” This title implies how the harmful truth of this issue is decorated by the importance of beauty. I use illustrative and decorative graphics in this book to highlight the content of each article featured in the book.
Editorial Design
FAB features the photography artwork by Jessica Currie. I translated the photographer’s work, style, interests and personality into a magazine book format. The concept for this project is inspired by trends and fads that have derived from subculture and have emerged into mainstream media. I wanted this piece to be bold and illustrative.
Illustration
Illustration is a very strong skill I have. With a blank canvas I sketch out a rough drawing before executing it in vector form. This is how I like to work with logos, icons and many other graphic elements as well.
